He found our HOME

Well today my awesome hubby found what we will call HOME for the next three years of our lives! This was the best news to my ears! Now I can get new orders sent to me, my visa, my HHG shipped off, and get my plane ticket! I feel so very blessed that this is all coming together finally. I look back at some of my earlier blogs and I was kind of in a depressed state of mind...
But the good Lord has taken that away and I thank Him everyday for all that He has done and the things that He has provided for Richard and I. We will be reunited in approximately 3 weeks!! That doesn't seem so far away anymore! I can't wait to leap in to his arms again!!!

Well I am praising the Man upstairs big time this week!!  My hubby got back from Germany finally and I got great news!! We got Command Sponsorship!! So now Richard is out and about looking for an apartment in Italy! That made my whole week! So after we get a house, I can get my car and HHG shipped and get my visa and then my plane ticket over there!! Ahh I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! I have been getting everything organized almost everyday. I am trying to figure out what I am taking and what I am gonna leave here. I think I have pretty much got the majority of my stuff ready for whenever the packers do come. So now it is more waiting but its waiting for something awesome! So my week is going great and its only Monday!! Hope you all have a terrific week!

Let's just say it ruined my whole day and made me cry...  But I can def. say I learned my lesson!
Oh yea I got burnt today at camp... boo! Course I will be brown tomorrow but still! haha Well I am about to go take a relaxing bath... I need to relieve some of this stress from this awful day...

Weekend in Chattanooga, TN

So my amazing mother invited my brother and I to a nights stay at the Chattanoogan Hotel in downtown Chattanooga. As a small part of her job, my mother makes all her co-worker's reservations at hotels and the Chattanoogan is one of the most popular one she books at. Well someone at the hotel invited my mom to come and tour the newly renovated hotel and stay the night all for free. Then they told her that she could invite a guest and since my dad doesn't like to go out much, she invited Joshua and myself. After we agreed we would go with her she told us what else was included in the deal... So let me just tell you what all we did! First we arrived at the hotel and got valet parking. Then mom and I got to have an hour of heaven on earth! Yes, we got massages!! While we got pampered my brother swam in the huge pool they have at the hotel until an hour later when it was his turn to get his massage. Then we got ready and went to the cocktail hour. We got to have free wine, cheese, & crackers. Then we went on a tour of the different meeting rooms the hotel has. After the tour we got to enjoy a lovely 4 course meal!! It was so lovely!! And let me just say Creme Brulee is now my favorite dessert ever! :) After the dinner we changed into more comfortable clothes and headed to our VIP seating at Riverbend!! And for those who don't know, Riverbend is like a week long even of concerts featuring everybody from Casting Crowns to    Alan Jackson. But we go to see the sweet miss Kellie Pickler!! I loved every minute of it! It was amazing! And I can honestly say I think we were the few sober people there... haha! After the concert we walked about 7 blocks back to the hotel and went straight to bed. The next morning we had a buffet of yummy grits, bacon, eggs, and so much more. After being stuffed AGAIN we left for church. We went to my brother's church to be with my Papa since it was Father's Day. All in all it was a great weekend!! I was def. treated like a princess, but I sure wish my prince could have been there with me... Soon though we will be reunited! God will bring us together very soon, I just know it! Hope everybody had a blessed weekend & may your week be filled with smiles!

A not so short 411

Well for those of you that don't know me personally, I will tell you about where I am in the process of getting to be with my husband...

He left in March to go to his first duty station. In Italy! We were suppose to go to Fort Bragg in NC but the day before he was to leave they told him that his orders were cancelled. For a whole day Richard had no clue where they were going to send him. Then they finally told him that he was going to be shipped to Italy. When he told me the news I had mixed emotions... I was extremely excited, nervous, kinda sad because it's so far away from my family, lets just say it was a bittersweet moment. (I have a lot of those moments, hints the title of my blog.) So he got to spend two weeks with me before he was sent overseas. Those two weeks were the fastest two weeks of my life. I felt like we didn't even get to spend time with just each other. We spent a lot of time with his family which was more than fine because we had a lot fun visiting with all of them but I still hated that I felt like he wasn't even there... He had been gone for so long with basic training and all that and I just wanted him there with me.
Now the whole process the Army has me go thru takes too dang long and it aggravates me. I had to get my military i.d. I had to get all sorts of papers signed by my doctor and sent over to Italy. I had to get my passport. I had to get Ellie (my pup) microchipped and get her a passport. I had to get this and that and this and that. Now we have all we need EXCEPT probably the most important part... Command Sponsorship. Which you have to have to do everything pretty much... Have to have it to send my household goods, my car, get my visa, the list goes on and on! We just need that and then HOPEFULLY its smooth sailing from there.

I have not been the most cheerful person thru all of this... I have had many depressing moments where all I wanna do is cry. I have had moments where I am so angry I wanna hit somebody. Let's just say that I am not the most patient person in the world, but things in the army world are so difficult and for a girl who has never had to wait for anything ... well its hard. I have been married almost 6 months to the man of my dreams and out of those 6 months I have been with him less than 3 weeks. HARD. I know that I am waiting for a reason. I find myself asking God "why?" a lot lately. I still don't really know the answer but I know that He has it all planned out. I know that He is looking out for both of us. He is making me a stronger person even if I can't see it sometimes. My relationship with God is not necessarily in the best shape... And I can blame only one person... ME. I have not went to the Lord for many of my problems and He should be the first I go to. It has gotten better the past couple of weeks. He is building me back up strong and confident. I love the way God never leaves us even though we leave Him so many times in our lives. But He knows what crap we have to go thru. He knows we have to cry. He wants us to cry. I just thought about one of my weakest moments. It literally just happened last week. I had never in my life felt so alone and I realized that I wasn't alone at all. So I said to myself "I need to change." I needed to stop complaining and give it all up to the Man upstairs. I was in my room one night and I just fell to my hands and knees and cried out to God. I told Him that I knew He had it under control, but to give me strength and patience to get thru this. He did. He loves me. So as I wait on the command sponsorship, I will enjoy the time I have left here with my family and the few true friends I have. The Lord has been more than good to me. I don't deserve what He has done for me but He does it out of LOVE and I appreciate Him so much for that. My life isn't the perfect life, but thank goodness to that because that would be boring! I like my life just the way it is. Sure I miss my other half like never before, but I know there will come a day when I look back at this chapter of our love story and think about how it was all totally worth it. I love my Lord more than words could explain. He is my Rock. And I thank Him everyday for giving me the man of my dreams. My God is the 1st love of my life and Richard is the 2nd love of my life. Richard is my world. And God... well He does make the world go 'round.

.Creed.

I made a whole page just for the Creed but I think it is pretty important so I posted it as my first blog entry!

The Army Wife Creed

I am the wife of an American soldier.
I am a support system and a member of a family
much larger than my own.
I serve the people of the United States and teach my children
the importance of the Army values.
My husband's heightened morale will remain my mission
For I understand that he will not be successful in fulfilling his duties
If I stray from mine.I will never give up
Nor will I allow my fears
To prevent the accomplishment of my duties.
I will never allow my husband to forget
The importance of his role as a soldier.
I am disciplined. My faith in God
will allow me to remain steadfast
Despite the loneliness and stress
that are constantly confronting me.
I will depend on Him so that my husband can depend on me.
I will ensure my husband never doubts
that he is a priority in my life.
I will maintain my family, my home, and myself.
My husband will never have to wonder where my devotion lies.
His focus will remain on the security of a nation
While mine remains on the security of our family.
I will remain faithful in my encouragement and my support.
I am a wife, mother, lover and friend.
I am the wife of an American soldier.

I love you Soldier!
